River Corner
Overview
An office building located in the centre of Prague in Smíchov, in the immediate vicinity of the large transport hub Smíchovské nádraží. It is a six-storey building built in 2013. The building consists of mainly offices, but also a clinic or shop on the ground floor. In 2022, a comprehensive reconstruction of the entire building took place, which gave the building a modern look and function.
As part of the thoughtful refurbishment, we worked closely with the investor and designers to achieve the best possible level of BREEAM In-Use certification. Through this collaboration, the building was certified at Excellent level.
The refurbishment transformed the courtyard into a pleasant space with benches and greenery, added external blinds to prevent summer overheating and refurbished the terrace to add greenery, screening and seating. A new designer lobby was added with greenery and artwork. Water efficient fixtures and a modern bike room with facilities for cyclists were also installed.
During the certification of the building, there was close collaboration between the investor, the designers and our consulting team, which ultimately led to the successful certification.
