Valdek palace

Overview
Valdek Palace is a functionalist building from the 1920s on Náměstí Míru. The building was designed by architect Antonín Belada and was used for commercial and residential purposes. There was a cinema Waldek (later Warsaw) located in the underground floors. Nowadays it serves as an office building whose interiors have undergone a sensitive reconstruction under the current owner.
Our task was to carry out an initial pre-assessment of the achievability of BREEAM certification and to explain the whole process to the client and the property manager. This was followed by agreeing the targeted score, implementing the selected improvements and creating all complete set of documentation required for the certification process. Communication with the BRE certification body was also an integral part of the process. The building had never been certified before.
